Best Cafe for Sale in Adelaide

Image
Some of the most meaningful changes in life come from unexpected turns . My neighbour , Helen, never planned to run a cafe. She simply loved baking and sharing food with the people around her. But when she was made redundant at the age of fifty-two, her sense of purpose wavered. Instead of retreating, she paused and asked herself a simple, yet powerful question: What now?   That question lingered until one quiet afternoon, over a cup of coffee and a slice of her famous banana bread. We sat in her sunlit kitchen, and out of the blue , she looked up and said, “It’s time to build something of my own.”     A few weeks later, she stumbled upon a small cafe for sale in Adelaide. It wasn’t about chasing profit , it never was. For Helen, it was about creating a space filled with warmth, where people felt welcome and could share stories over good food . What began as an unexpected detour became the start of something deeply meaningful.   Now, she starts and ends her day with...

How To Move Food When Moving

Image
Moving food can be a logistical challenge, but with some careful planning, it can be done efficiently. Start by using up perishable items or donating them to reduce the amount you need to move. For non-perishable items, pack them in sturdy boxes, making sure to seal them tightly to prevent spills. Use insulated coolers or bags for items that need to stay cold, like frozen foods or dairy products, and consider using dry ice for longer moves. Label boxes clearly with contents and destination room to streamline unpacking. Finally, consider donating any unopened, non-perishable items to a local food bank to minimize waste and help those in need. 78 Best Air Fryer Recipes That Are Easy and Delicious

Image
Wondering what to cook in your air fryer? Our Test Kitchen's all-time favorite air fryer recipes will help you figure that out. In case it isn't obvious, we think an air fryer is a worthy addition to any kitchen. Air fryers feature a compact chamber equipped with a strong heat source and airflow to help you churn out meals faster than an oven and achieve crispy edges on your food with little (or no!) oil. Smaller air fryers are great if you're cooking for one or two people, while larger air fryers can handle feeding a big group for easy, family dinners. And there’s no shortage of recipes to make in this countertop appliance: Cook up appetizers for a party, easy weeknight dinners, veggie side dishes and even dessert. While we have nothing against slow cookers or Instant Pots (in fact, we think those are worth investing in too!), it’s hard to beat the versatility of an air fryer. Australia’s best value fruit and veg in February: game-changing grapes, flush figs and peak plums

Image
Despite some wild weather ringing in 2024, there is a good supply of fruit and veg for the final month of summer. “Figs are in at the moment – a lot of local figs and glasshouse figs,” says Tony Polistina, co-owner of Forestway Fresh in Sydney’s Terrey Hills. “There will be a flush [of] them in the next couple of weeks.” Polistina sells figs from $20 to $40 a tray. In supermarkets, they can be found at $1.50 each. And when there is a fig glut, you could do worse than rounding up half a dozen to make Tom Hunt’s galette with figs, radicchio, blue cheese and walnuts. Extra-ripe specimens will turn luscious and jammy in Yotam Ottolenghi’s sweet fig and thyme clafoutis.
